A rose is not enough to say sorry – this was to be the theme of my mural in Paris in partnership with @pixoasso…
But It happened that the first day I started painting, I found out that my father was hospitalized on strike, and during the entire production process (5 days) I had faith that he was going to recover. The strength I had to continue painting with the sun at almost 40º cracking was the whole time, it was also for him and for him. Unfortunately as soon as I finished the next day in the morning (from here) he passed away. And even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be in time to say goodbye and comfort my sisters. .
Then the whole meaning of the mural was transformed, I no longer see the initial idea I had, but rather mourning, two women comforting each other, my sisters. It feels like this was one of those jobs where you’re just an instrument of something bigger, whose density and meaning are beyond our control.
Thank you @pixoasso for the love and attention these days, you guys are cool. To the new and old friends I spent time with over there and the wonderful @milenaseta for so much sensitivity in her eyes, this work was born inspired by a photo of her.
